Spotlight on: Wilfie’s Scotch Eggs
Who knew one of my favorite hunting bars has incredible food?  Not this girl.
Wilfie and Nell serves upscale pub grub, including their legendary Scotch Egg. Until this weekend, I had never even heard of this cardiac arrest of an appetizer, but holy wow, I have been missing out.
Where: Wilfie and Nell (228 West 4th Street, West Village).
What the F is a scotch egg? A hard boiled egg wrapped in sage pork sausage, breaded, deep fried and sprinkled with pepper and sea salt. Served with whole grain mustard which you spread on with a baby knife.  Are they bad for you? Certainly. Are they worth it? Absoeffinglutely.
How much is this high calorie gem? $4.00 (That is less than a subway sammy people!).
I love sushi and salad as much as the next girl, but for my dying meal, a scotch egg may make the cut.
